Got a Zalman cooler on my graphics card which I'd like to carry over when I upgrade (even though it's currently half the price of what I bought it for so I could easily get another... :p ). Do Zalman make replacement adhesive pads for the ramsinks, or will I need to use thermal glue of some description?
If replacement pads exist, I'd appreciate a product number/code - I checked a few etailers but couldn't find any. No competitor links please, the product code should be enough to let a search engine find it for me! :)

you could always use AS thermal epoxy and mix with a bit of AS5 so its not 100% supernova resistant, cause be warned the epoxy basically sticks forever, i used it to stick sinks on my GTs, and the only way to remove them would be to seperate the atoms at the molecular level

Yeah, that's why I want replacement pads really... :D

It's not so much that I plan to reuse the same cooler on a third graphics card, but if the card broke down within its warranty period and needed sending back to the manufacturer, I'd need to be able to put the stock cooler back on before doing so!

if you ment the akasa things then they wont work. they just simply provide thermal contact between 2 things, just like AS does, afaik it does not stick things together.

but yeah thermal tape, (frag tape) should do the job :)

Nice, a bay-search uncovered Sekisui- and 3M-branded tapes, both of which I would presumably be able to cut into the ramsink shapes I need!
Has anyone had any experience of either of these and has preference for one or the other? Most importantly, are they both relatively easy to unstick if I ever need to?

i was refering to some **** ones myself
Ah yes, found their website. They're a manufacturer of watercooling kit, but they're also an etailer so they might be classed as a competitor  Not sure, but best to edit out their name just in case. The only adhesive thermal pads I found on their site were the 3M ones which the merchant sea dogs of the Bay of E were also selling. :p

PS. How does the product suggestions forum work? If I post a thread in there with a competitor link to those pads, would I still be breaking the rules?

easy to remove too. just a little twist and they come off
Just what I wanted to hear!

Have you tried both of those brands yourself? If nobody has a preference between them I'll probably go for the 3M ones. The makers of the Post-It must be good at making things stick and unstick easily! :p
