Zalman Z9 Case

Spot on mush :D

No unfortunately you can put the PCI blanking plates back on, I meant to say that but ran out of puff typing lol

You could buy something like this to fill the gap if you want wifi or anything that uses the PCI-Express X1 slot such as this soundcard. Note the smaller connector for the PCI-Express X1 slot
Do I connect the front fan to SYS_FAN1?

Also how do I connect the 2 top fans to fan controller?

Andys pic of the cable management from his thread

At the far right you can see the yellow cable which is the P4/8 extension which has been routed out of the way. The clear cable tied next to it, is from one of the fans. Follow this cable and you see where it plugs into the fan controller (green and yellow wires from a small black block).

You can also make out the black cable in the top right which is from the black & white fan. Follow this cable to find the molex block to power the fan controller and digital temp display. You plug your PSU molex in the bottom then daisy chain the other molexs ontop....hopefully the pic helps

Oh and yes plug the front fan into whatever fan header it will reach to on the mobo. Just make sure you plugged the heatsink fan into the CPU Fan header (im sure you have but check)

I have connected the fan controller and temperature molex to the one on the PSU, where do I connect my top 2 fans?

I can't make it any clearer bud.

I posted the pic and explained what the fan cable looks like and where it is. Just trace that clear cable down in the pic i linked, it branches off to the left and plugs into the block for the fan controller, Just below it you see the other clear cable which is in the second fan controller block, you can trace that cable back and see it's the front intake in the pic......you want the two top fans plugged into the fan controller but that helps you see where the fan controller blocks are by description.

I have connected the two molex from the fan controller to PSU and connected the 2 top fan to the fan controller plug

Where do I connect the front panel fan? I plugged it in SYS_FAN1 but it didn't spin when the PC is turned on but others are spinning

Once upon a long long time ago, putting ones PC together was easy peasy. Now I find it a minefield and confusing. It is a Good job you lot have put this thread up in here or I would pull all my hair out instead of some of it..LOL
So hyjacking this a little as I have all my components ready to put together on my mobo as my IT friend is unavailable for three weeks..Duh! I'll need help..LOL
If you want me to start a new thread I shall do so. Oh yea, These coolers are HUGEeee!
Why so big? when i5 Ivybridge is sooooo small.. How much cooler does the Zalman 9 get when you switch the fans around?? All my other cases have had fans on side window and cases are quite cool..Enough for now.

opstart----Also when you come to it, make sure to remove the front panel. At the top you should find 2 plugs and 2 sockets. Make sure to connect them as it is the power switch and restart switch. If you don't connect them nothing will work. So many have had that problem myself included

Where do you connect them to..Looks very very fiddly to me. Thanks
