I'm prepping my Stacker case for my new build. The 3 fans in it have 4 pin molex connectors for power. I'm fitting new fans all round. Am I right in thinking I can buy fans with just the small 3 pin plug and these will draw power from the fan controller?

I've spent all day selecting new components but I've resisted the the urge to buy now with the free shipping. While I'm here, are there any problems with these?

Abit IP35 Pro
Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB SATA2 16 MB Cache OEM
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Energy Efficient SLACR 95w Edition
nVidea 8800 GT. Cant decide which. Want one as quiet as possible
OCZ 4 GB (2x2GB) PC2 800MHz Reaper Duel Channel DDR2
Tuniq Tower 120-LFB CPU Cooler
Arctic Silver 5
Vista Home Premium 64 bit Edition OEM

Allready have:

Stacker Case
Zalman 600W Power Supply
X-Fi Sound Card
2 SATA Opical Drives

Thanks for your input

Looks good. Get the Leadtek 8800 GT. I have it and it's got the new quieter fan. Everything else looks good. RAM looks overkill (any 6400 should do) and get a second hard drive they are invaluable.

You can buy 4 pin molex to 3 pin adaptors. Or if you just want lower speeds from the fans 7v mod them (make sure you don't use the "fan" run of cables for IDE HD's or optical drives)

I don't want to use any Molex connectors. I just want to plug the 3 pin socket from the fan into the fan controller. What I'm asking is, will the fan controller power the fans.
