I'm trying to sell a phone. Listed 3 times now, won by various Zambian bidders each time, but they always fail to pay and I have to file a non-payer dispute. Next time I listed the phone, I use the following option, and stated on the description no Zambian bidders, but once again, it fell on deaf ears and once again, someone from that country won the item.

Do you guys know what other options I can use? Thought it was best to ask OcUK, as I'll only get an automated response from eBay, if I actually get one that is! I don't have any problem selling other electronics btw and other countries, just this phone and Zambia.

Cheers.

set everything to max like I had for years.

the reason it went through is probably that you set restriction on DELIVERY country to Zambia, whereas all these accounts are "REGISTERED" in the UK, with "UK" addresses set as primary.

requiring paypal account with credit card is usually what helps as it's super easy to open up ebay account, but more tricky to open up a paypal one with cc.

you can set your listing options to block bids from countries you do not ship to. then set the listing to UK only.

stop selling it global? simple? sure there must be plenty of people in the UK to bid?

Thanks guys. Yes it's a pity I have to block 1 country, as I've had no problems with buyers from Thailand, France, USA, Bulgaria and Romania to name a few countries that I shipped to recently. I think then I'll try Paypal/card users only next, and failing that, will do domestic-only for this phone. Then carry on using global shipping programme for all other items because it has worked well for me so far except for the phone.

Back when I used to sell a lot of stuff on eBay I would keep an eye on the bidders for my items, if there was anything I didn't like the look of or seemed remotely shady I'd just cancel their bids and block them.
