Zelda style rpg games on ps2?

Anyone know any good English voiced rpgs for the ps2 that is similar in style to Zelda a link to the past? (snes)

Found one i might like its called Ys The Ark of Napishtim. Looks like fully voiced in all dialogue which i am very happy about and is a nice top down rpg in the old style rpgs which i like too as im not really a fan of the 3d rpgs.

Know any others thats like zelda on snes?
 
Dunno about ones like a link to the past but Okami is very, very similar to the newer Zelda games like Ocarina of Time.

I dont like Ocarina of Time its horrible imo. And i saw vids on utube of Okami as ppl said it was a zelda type game and personally i think its horrible to look at and is nothing like a link to the past which imo is the definition of a zelda game. The crap zelda games after link to the past are just so inferior imo cos of the 3d it plays too different and style is too different to what made me fall in love with zelda a link to the past.

I... you've stumped me. I can't even think up any games to recommend to you, because I'm still reeling.

EDIT: Also, Zelda isn't really an RPG, especially not the 2d ones. It's more an adventure game. Maybe they'll be some in that genre that are more similar?

Agree, its a progressive adventure game. I tend to think of RPGs as having stats and not just being non-liner with a sword.

In reality the OP seems to be asking for a Link to the Past equivalent on the PS2.

Not played any of them, but are there any Castlevania games on PS2?
 
Suppose its a adventure/rpg but i always thought it was a rpg tbh, before the pc that is what i had classed as a classic rpg as your role playing as zelda in a story and thats all a rpg is really. The stats thing is just something that was added on to the rpg genre imo.

Yeah a link to the past clone on ps2. I found a close game as i said with the Ys one im just wondering if there's more like that Ys one as them are like the old zelda game on the snes imo, or at least the closest to them.

The original grandia was one of my favourite games on the ps1. I didn't play 2 and 3 though so cant comment on those. I never did complete alundra, I think I'll have to look it out again...
