Zen 3 X570 compatible boards

Has any supplier come out and stated anything about motherboard compatibility? If so, which boards & from what supplier?

ASUS has unveiled two new motherboards designed to support AMD's next-generation Zen 3 based Ryzen 5000 CPUs, the ROG Crosshair VII DARK Hero, and the ROG STRIX B550-XE. Both motherboards are based on existing X570 & B550 chipsets but come with a range of new tech which will push the Ryzen platform to the next level.

A bit weird considering you can update the BIOS on the older X570/B550 models for compatibablity.

Only buy a motherboard that has the ability to update bios without a cpu. That way you don’t have to worry.

All 5 series motherboards can take the Zen 3 with a bios update and the bios's should be out by release. AGESA 1.0.8.0 give's Zen 3 compatibility.

4 series motherboards will need to wait until around Jan apparently.
