Zen3 Mobo bios update?

Hey guys, does anyone know when it will be possible to update our bios to support AMD's new zen3 cpus (5xxx)?
Is this usually before or after the official release day, or maybe announcement? I don't see any info on Asus website for the x570-p prime.

I sold my 2080 because will be getting a 3080 soon, stupidly forgetting that ryzen does not have an integrated gpu to be able to use pc and flash bios until like... xmas (when rtx3080 stock will likely normalise)?
With game pass I rekkon I'm good waiting though haha. Even without using the free xCloud my lappy can run Broforce, Carrion, Gris, Night in the woods, spiritfarer, Minit, west of loathing, as well as all the old old point n clicks (monkey island etc)... I'm good waiting till 2022
Highly recommend all the above games btw... Wow indy games have gotten good.

I could maybe borrow my bros gpu or something, but is it possible to update bios without a cpu nowadays?

I got an r5 3600 to tide me over to zen3, so would be awesome if there's a way for me to sell cpu now whilst it's sat here doing nothing. I expect it'll be after xmas till I can get a 5700x/5800x anyway.

Hi, the bios should be available before you can buy it just keep looking at the support page for the motherboard you can also flash bios without CPU its called Flashback on Asus , MSI, Gigabyte they all have something similar

Ahhh that's awesome to hear. Thanks bud. You think it'll be worth the hassle changing out a 3600 for 5700x?
