If you ever see a .zix file delete immediately, do not install winZix. It's all a big scam.

Luckily the spyware involved seem to have uninstalled easily enough.

Basically someone had the idea to make a compression format (which doesnt even work) and make sure that only his program could decompress it so that you had to install his seemingly legitimate program. Needless to say his program came with spyware.

It doesnt even compress the file, just adds a few bytes on the start. So be careful with your downloads, if it contains a .zix file then dont bother!
