afternoon all

we have a open plan kitchen\lounge , my lad is constantly on the xbox shouting down his mic . the mrs has asked me to get her a echo or similar for music as she cooks .

i was wondering if i got some wifi speakers and a chromecast audio could i plug the chromecast into the zone two of the amp and everyone would be happy ?

cheers

If the chromecast has inputs yes.

I currently use Zone 2's speaker output for music/record deck ect as have some big floor standers. I have a 4200 though.

You may only have rca output option.

Keep in mind if you are using more than 5.1 on your main you will need to use zone 3 iirc .

Hate to say it but RTFM :p

Amazon Echo Dot, Echo and Echo Plus all have Line Out. Connect to one of the analogue stereo audio-in connections on the X2300 and you get to play that device through either the main zone (5.1) or Zone 2 either with wired speakers or from the stereo audio out dedicated to Zone 2 Out.

I don't think it's possible to play from the Denon to the Echo devices.

It's a shame you haven't got wired up for Zone 2 speakers. The Denon amp has network music playback and internet radio. All of this including powering Z2 On/Off, source selection, Favourites, volume etc is all controllable from an Android or iOS smart phone or tablet.

Put the boy in his room with xbox? Fixed?
That what I was thinking...

I myself and all my mates have always played are computer games and are console games in are bedrooms..
Apart from when I was really young (under 10) and didn't have my own TV in the bedroom. In them days we played with a binatone game console in the lounge...
