been using Zone Alarm for years now, but i've noticed that my windows h/drive space goes up and down and i'm putting it down to z/a and it's logging features.
i'm going to try and use a diff firewall proggy.
which freeware firewall Program do you think will eat up less resources and not have annoying logging ala' z/alarms' Rdb,ldb,fwdbglog/fwpktlog,tvdebug and gawd knows what else.

please advise.

there's really no need for both, as long as you don't go downloading free smileys and screensavers and what not ;)

If you have a decent hardware router then just a hardware router is fine. The hardware router will give you the protection. The software firewall would just be for letting you choose which programs can connect to the Internet etc.
