i had an ip camera that only works indoors, it's great but limits what i can see as it's badly positioned by a window etc, so bought an external camera, a Tenvis IP602W. it's working fine, however the view of it is far too zoomed in that i can't really see much any more and i can't position it much further away.

i'm wondering if anyone here knows of any thing i can put in font of a lens to make it zoomed out, perhaps even with a wider view?

below is an example of the difference between the 2 cams. the left is the newer external one (currently inside). they are positioned only 2 windows apart

Yeah there will probably be other cameras with a more appropriate field of view etc.

I suspect it would be difficult to find something to add to the camera that would work with it. The specs on the website list the viewable angles as:

Horizontal:28.5° Vertical:21.5°

There's another similar model on the website with a slightly wider FOV but I'm not sure it would be wide enough for that view. Guess you need to check around for something more suitable :/

thank guys. i've had a look at others for similar price and they all seem to be basically the same camera with a different brand name. it's annoying as the cheaper ones which can move aren't weather proof so can't be used outside.
