Like many, some of the time I am having to work from home and video conferencing has become a regular thing for me. Because of the agencies and organisations I engage with, there are a mix of platforms I need to use including MS Teams, Skype and Zoom.
I'm unable to install the downloadable client based version of Zoom on my works laptop due to administrator restrictions (I'm in the emergency services) and although I've submitted a software request to our ICT dept, they are dealing with a backlog of requests so it could be a while until it is actioned.
I decided to download Zoom on my iPad Air but when I go into the options the 'Virtual Backgrounds' option is not there. I tried downloading on my P30 Pro phone and its the same. Google throws up lots of people asking why this is the case but not a lot of definitive answers.
Any ideas folks? I did find a YT video explaining that you need to log in to your Zoom account online, go into the settings then turn off and back on the Virtual Backgrounds button. Sign out then sign back in and when you go to your preferred device (i.e. my iPad) the option will be available. However I've tried this and it doesn't work either.
