Zotac 3080 Trinity OC

I have had the card for about a Month and noticed that the fans are producing a "whirring noise" when the card is idle.

The fan profile in the Zotac Firestorm software is set to 0% until the GPU hits 50 Degrees.

When inspecting the card I see the fans turn on and spin up to about 20% then instantly shut back off. This continues to cycle on off states creating a very mild but annoying fan noise.

I have the latest bios for the card installed.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Update. I discovered it was because the card is 50-52 degrees idle so the fans kicked in and shut down as soon as it dropped a degree. Adjusted fan curve and resolved the issue

I had one of these but didn't get on with it. Coil whine, unstable OC, loud fans above 55% and no benefit above my 3070 without upgrading to latest architecture for Intel or AMD. Sold it to CeX.

I've the same card and it was/is very annoying how it boosts from 0% to 50% every minute or two.

But worse still, after running fine for almost 2 months, yesterday the fan furthest from the IO shield packed it in. Great timing now that I'm on annual leave for Christmas :-o

Fan problems seem quite common on these cards.

I have to agree with the fan issues and also the Spectra software is so bad and buggy.

Luckily my card is performing extremely well although it runs a tad hot but I do have a MSI 3080 coming around the 30th December so I might sell the Zotac Trinity and keep the MSI one if it is better
