As the above title I narrowed my choices down to those 2 cards , more or less the same price and very important from other users reports I understand both cards have low probability of coil whine- but no certainty
Zotac has 5 years warranty vs Gigabyte 4 years , which would be a plus for Zotac although some users reported the fan noise on Zotac persistent ?

Have anyone tested both cards to give me some advice?

Thank you

Zotac better warranty and better components on the PCB and more VRM at higher Amps.

Thank you

This guy seems to disagree

I have no idea if he is correct or not ...

Have a look yourself, these are teardowns of both cards.

The zotac is also currently cheaper than the gigabyte oc too.

The video is talking about the zotac trinity not the Extreme Airo.

I have the 4090 Airo, it was not my first choice as I usually go for FE or MSI

I have never bought a Zotac Graphics Card before and I was originally concerned about PCB component quality etc.
But, I have to say I'm impressed with my example, minimal if any Coil whine, does 2000+mhz memory and 3105mhz OC/Bench (stock = 2865mhz)

Shame it's only 490 Watt, on the original Bios before the V2 update it pulled 515Watt with a slightly better OC.
Sure others have better quality chokes and the higher 650w bios, but it does what you need it to do.

Cooler is efficient and fans run quiet (extremely loud at 100%, but mine never go over 45% when gaming)

No experience with Gigabyte, but I don't think you will be disappointed in the Airo!

Still loving my Zotac 4090 Extreme Airo after using it for about 5 months or so, even in an Evolx X case with a modified front mesh panel, under the most demanding loads the card has never even hit 50% fan speed yet, usually 45% is where mine tends to max out and under. If the game only needs 60% to 80% usage the fans rarely ever move passed the default lowest of 30% while still running at 65c and lower, 60c and lower if the game only needs 70% usage or less which is impressive considering my case is not exactly known for its airflow. No coil one as I certainly can't hear any over of my case fans (Corsair ML RGBs). As long as the GPU fans stay at 45% and under the fans are pretty quiet which thankfully is most of the time.

I absolutely love the curvy design as well, such a different look, makes a change from the usual rectangle slabs with flat edges which has been used for so long on most cards and the RGB is very well done, looks nice and not to tacky. Looks far nicer lit up in person than it does in photos. I have used Zotac in the past but only for cheap GPUs that would be used for basic display output, never a gaming one but I have zero issues buying this again today if I had to.

I've used a couple of Zotac cards (980 and 980 Ti high end models) and was impressed with the build quality, etc. The 980 Ti is still going strong in a friend's PC.

The one Gigabyte card I had (a 480) went back within a week with dodgy fans. These days I wouldn't trust their warranty. They had an attack where they lost all information on customer RMAs and decided to not honour any of them. I don't know if that was ever resolved or not. Now their website is down while people try to RMA cards that are failing in the Diablo 4 beta. On top of that LinusTechTips called them out as being one of the worst companies to deal with for warranty. That said, I have a Z690 Gigabyte board and that's been great.

I personally wouldn't touch Gigabyte anymore based on recent events and the stories I've heard about their warranty support.

Thank you everyone for your advice and responses.

In the past I was an MSI aficionado - currently I have 3080 MSI X suprim 10G, but on 4090 I have read most MSIs have horrible coil whine . I can put up with the fan's noise but coil whine would be very annoying.

It appears Zotac AIRO it is- I plan to keep this card for the whole 5 years warranty , considering the amount of money they are asking for it

just remember to do the registration on their website within 28 days of purchase, if not then you only gets 3 years warranty from seller.

I was just about to order it today but luckily - or not as less warranty - today 4090FE is back in stock - so I went for it .. hopefully will not ned up regretting ( I had a 3070 FE before and it was excellent )
