I have a 8800GT Amp! Edition card, it was purchased back in 07/2008.
The fan is now starting to get very noisy but temps are stable according to GPUz.
Does anyone know how long is the warranty period please?

2 years although 5 if you registered it......... and a couple of checks to make first, have you checked its not just clogged up with dust and needs a good blow out, or do you have that dodgy nvidia drivers installed which messed with fan speeds?

I spent a while on their own FAQs so I hadn't dived right in here! But thanks for the reply!
If you tap the fan before powering on its doesn't make as much noise so I'm thinking its more than dust.
Guess i'll be on to them then.

The bearing is wore out, it could get to the point where it will stick on start up and your card will burn out,
noise is good fore warning of trouble, you should replace the fan or get an after market cooler on as soon as possible.
