Zotac 980ti amp evtreme

You say it's 1,606 on the core and 8006 on the memory but is this all the time or is it throttling at any point? Are you seeing ANY drops from those clocks

Yup, I mentioned it in the 980ti thread that even though I could push higher on memory and core clock in Valley it doesn't mean that the overclock is stable during gaming. BF4, Pcars, Witcher 3 fully maxed out stresses the cards out.

The op is the first person I've read get over 1600 on air, just goes to show that Asic means nothing, but I would love to see some gpuz sensor at max screenshots and Firestrike scores, but the op will need to buy 3dmark 11
