Hi everyone,

I am thinking about getting one of the Zotac 980ti Amp Extreme cards to upgrade my stock original EVGA Titan card.

I just wanted to know if there were any gotchas about getting this card to put in my Fractal Design Define R4 case - I know that I will have to take out my upper HDD cage, but that is no problem as far as I am concerned.

Any advice / pointers would be gratefully received.

All the best and tanks in advance,

Moley

Thanks to you all for taking the time to reply.

I don't mind losing my upper HDD cage, as I have my SSDs installed in the lower cage, so no problem there.

My other main concern is the sheer weight of the card and if it would cause any problems such as strain on the PCIe socket? What do you guys do with regards to supporting heavy GPUs? I don't want to end up damaging my motherboard etc?

Thanks again, everyone.

Have a great weekend.

Should be fine for a while, however you could use a piece of wood or something non-conductive to hold it up. Maybe even paint black so it blends in, and that should prevent sag. It shouldn't put strain on the PCIe socket though :)
