Zotac H55-ITX-C-E Memory check

Anyone know if this board works with the G.Skill Ripjaws stuff designed for the new lower voltage 1155 stuff?

I put it in the zotac board but i get no beeps, display and i have to unplug from the power to turn it off. Im pretty sure its the board but just want to make sure.

Hi there,

That memory should work fine - it may be rated to 1.5V, but this is what the nahalem boards default to anyway. Have you tried installing one stick at a time and see if you get any joy (perhaps one of the sticks is dead and preventing the boot).

May I ask what your full spec is?

yeah i have a 1GB stick here from a HP microserver so i will try that too, bought another board just incase too (good enough excuse )

Chenbro ES34169 Case (4x3.5" Hotswap + 2.5" internal)
Zotac H55-ITX-C-E
i3 530
8GB (2x4GB G.Skill RipJaws 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24)
4 x 2TB hitachi Deskstar 7K2000
1 x WD Scorpio Black 160GB 7200RPM 2.5"

Im just building a NAS with it but i dont know whether to go Freenas or Windows Server or Home Server really. I have numerous XBMC windows based media centres and its to facilitate those really.
