Anyone know the waranty period or what the service is like for Zotac graphics cards? I cant find any details on OcUK or competitiors sites... Could it be that they are cheap and fast because when they go pop your stuck on your own?

ive ordered the zotac 8800 GT week ago though its currently out of stock and keepin me in so much pain waitin on it to come in so they can ship it out!!

but it does mention the warranty under all information on card yeah

Zotac advised me - when I e-mailed that they provide a 2 yr warranty (but it's very limited it seems)
O'clockers provide a 3 yr warranty on the Amp edition which they sell which looks to be a good deal (better than anywhere else so far as I know).
Be careful where you buy from !!

my point re-iterated with less cocky git and more 'GT Section of site'....
How was it cocky? If you're looking for something and aren't sure why it's showing, the search function works perfectly. God forbid I demonstrate why it's not productive to simply stop looking once you hit a bump.

Use your common sense.

I dont know about you, but Id usually go to the 8800GT section of the site to find an 8800GT...
I'm glad I'm not like you then, giving up should be the last option not the second one.

Fact is I showed you where they are, you should be thanking me. Ingrate.

your argument falls down unless you are specifically looking for a Zotac. I want 'An' 8800GT, therefore I would use the site to gauge prices. If i didnt know the Zotac one existed, I wouldnt find it.

Anyway, this is not the point. My post was a question to shop site staff as to why the Zotac isnt in the 8800GT section of the site? And not about my ability to telepathically know the brand of the cheapest oced card before looking...

Jesus, see posts #1 and #5 you were asking specifically about the Zotac cards.

I showed you where they were, and all I did was a :p emote which somehow sent you over the edge. A simple "thanks, I didn't think of using search" would've sufficed instead of calling me a cocky git.

It didn't look to me like you were asking OcUK staff either. No addressing, just an open question, so forgive me for answering it before they did and actually doing you a favour. I'll be sure not to bother next time.

Complete male counterpart to a hen TBH.

To Ulfhedjinn: Thanks, I didnt think of using the search.

To all regards warranty: I didnt notice the line detailing warranty on the product listing page, cheers. Are there any details on whether this is an OcUK 3 year warranty to cover a poor Zotac one nor not? As most other sites have either no warranty details, or a variation between 1 or 2 years.

To Shop Website Admin: Is there any reason why the Zotac 8800GT isnt listed on the GT group page? Un-educated users would possibly not find it, specifically seen as its a mostly unheard of brand.

Cheers

You're welcome, I'm glad I could help.

Aye I imagine the little blurb bit means that OcUK will cover the card themselves for three years in the event that anything goes wrong as they can still turn around with Zotac themselves if need be.

I don't know if the Zotac warranty service is good or poor personally but I've not heard anything negative.

theyve prob had so many orders on that zotac 8800 GT they dont want too many more as theyre currently out of stock and its on pre-order!
ive been waitin for almost 2 week now, bought a full set up but im guessin theyre waitin on the gfx card before they ship it all out?

Bloody hell talk about handbags over nowt!

Anyway, just to report i love my new Zotac 8800GTS 512mb. Its a great card, although i've not spent much time on it as i've had loads of work in before the xmas break.

But i intend to get to know my card, Bioshock & The Witcher 1st up, then its COD4 and Crysis in the new year.

Fab way to break her in. :D

I just don't like being called a "cocky git" for helping somebody. :)

Lol, edit posts to rebuild your argument... lol
If that was directed at me, you can clearly see those posts were edited within minutes of posting.

It's a habit of mine to look over my posts and check for spelling/grammar errors, or to simply re-write something to make more sense. I'm not entirely sure what's so funny about that.

The difference in warranty might be down to a special deal OcUK have. As they have an additional year on Dell monitors compared to buying them directly from Dell.

Or it could be a misprint :) Best send a webnote from the OcUK website to get a speedy reply direct from the horses mouth.

The trouble is the Zotac cards are quite a bit cheaper elsewhere... So im not really interested in the OcUK warranty...

Dokko, anything in the box about the Zotac warranty?

I don't think there was anything in tbh.

I'm sure the site had mine listed as only a year, but then there is European law (not sure but i've heard around here) that it has to be 2 minimum.

God knows, i'm not going to OC it, if i do it wont be heavy so it should be ok.

Don't blame you, I've no idea why Skeeter threw his toys out the pram

Still though, if I were looking at buying a Zotac, I'd be investigating why their warranty seems quite limited? I'm not sure exactly what's meant by limited, but I'd rather pay more for a decent warranty than pay less and get stuck if things break :)
