Not really a tech issue but more of question... Is there any reason why overclockers dont stock any zotac products. I myself used to own a 8800 gts and it was very nice..

Maybe overclockers feel the quality of Zotac has gone down in recent years enough to not warrant stocking up?

I would be interested to know this also.

I currently own a Zotac GTX480, it came with a nice 5 year warranty for peace of mind and it has been great.
I am looking to upgrade my card and would definitely consider Zotac again.

I've had quite a few Zotac products over the years and they have been great. The motherboards that I bought had a free 5 year warranty when registered although I've never used their RMA process so I've no idea how good it is.

Would be interested to know if any of their 6 series will be turning up on special offer, like some other places have been shifting recently. Not that I need an upgrade, but still open to a great offer.

My 780 is a ZOTAC. Had to buy some where else of course because OcUK aren't stocking them. The performance/price couldn't be beaten, and it's the only 780 that launched with free games in the box, and it has 5 years Warranty.

I think it would be in OcUK's best interest to stock, ZOTAC.

i got the zotac 780 as well for my build a few weeks back. not a single fault i can find especially when it came with splinter cell double agent, conviction and code for blacklist when it comes out. just deciding whether i should overclock it now and considering the forum im on i already know what im going to do

Hi there

Unfortunately we found Zotac to be quite a strange one, they have the ingredients of a great seller with their 5yr warranty. Yes the sales were always very poor unfortunately and their overclocked cards (AMP) we always found had too high a failure rate, normally to do with the OC infact. But for a reference product we think they are great due to the warranty, but sales have always being to poor to consider keep them stocked.

That's too bad, they seem like a premium brand to me, right at the top, yet they have the price point of a regular brand and the 5yr Warranty. I hear great things about their cooling solution too, winning awards from Hexus and other places.

As for the AMP cards, the research I have done today shows only 1 brand that has matched ZOTAC's out of the box overclock on a GTX 770, and that's Inno3D who use a triple fan against ZOTAC's two. So if this is a trend continued from the past then I would guess the monster overclocks they put on their AMP edition cards is to much even for their cooling. And the large overclock they apply is no doubt throwing a hefty amount of extra volts through the GPU.

If anything, Gibbo, don't stock their AMP cards should you choose to stock ZOTAC again. I'm also not sure how long ZOTAC have been out of OcUK but these days people seem to strongly consider Warranty as part of their purchase on GPU's, and ZOTAC are matched only by EVGA if you pay for extended Warranty, ZOTAC extends to 5yrs once you register. You seem to have a way with vendors too, like EVGA and KFA2, you can probably deal something up with ZOTAC too.

Just ordered a Zotac 660ti amp extreme myself as a stop-gap upgrade from a gtx 480 (too risky spending big on graphics cards with the new consoles/next gen games coming out at the end of the year). Hope its good!

Disappointing but fully understand, your a business after all.

Thanks for the update on this Gibbo.
