I hope you don't mind but I'm stealing that image for the forum post I'm not sure if it's yours or not but it's better than the stuff Zowie gave us :)

Finally the anticipated Sensor update to the EC1 and EC2 has arrived so ffor those of us that prefer a slightly larger mouse can enjoy the benefits of the Successful Fk1 and FK2 mouse Sensor in a larger shape. You will also notice as with teh new mouse mats the Logo has been changed we didn't talk abotu this when it happened as we didn't want to confuse it till new mice started appearing with the logo on it. Like it or hate it the Logo doesn't change the fact the Mouse remains one of the best FPS mice on the market.

In the highly competitive world of eSports, we are fortunate to see more and more exciting games. The outcome of a duel between the top players is often determined by a second - a second containing a player’s enthusiasm, persistence and dreams. They must play for victory while avoiding the slightest mishap.

ZOWIE GEAR upholds the spirit of endless pursuit of product quality and continuous understanding of a player's needs. Developing a stable product improves the performance of competitive players, fulfilling ZOWIE’s commitment to eSports and players. Under this philosophy players are able to choose different mouse shapes, sizes and surface coating with the same performance.

The Avago 3310 optical sensor has already been on the market for some time and many ZOWIE GEAR supporters suggested that this sensor should be used in the next ZOWIE mouse. Developing a new mouse with this sensor was not difficult. The difficult part was to make a new mouse that upholds ZOWIE standards for competitive gaming gear while maintaining the advantages of the sensor.

One key feature for ZOWIE is the low lift-off distance which is important for any serious gamers. After lots of repeated testing, the research and development team was successful, achieving the low lift-off distance for the new model (1.5~1.8mm). All gamers that are interested in this signature feature from ZOWIE will be able to enjoy it in the new ZOWIE EC1-A.

The new EC1-A and EC2-A series keeps the same shape and size from the original EC series and introduces the Avago 3310 sensor just like the FK series. After releasing mice with different surfaces, ZOWIE GEAR understood that most people prefer the coating used in the FK and EC eVo CL lines and, as such, the new EC line will also use this coating.

Damn beaten to it, been quite a wait for these but atleast they're here now. Will wait for reviews on button latency. It's using the 3310 sensor, Do Logitech have exclusivity to the 3366 or something?

doubt it Zowie will just have a lot of 3310's

yeah we all knew it was coming and in the press release he talks of not wanting to release it which i didn't understand at all. At least it's here now.

Do the more informed want to give me a heads up on the differences between the two apart from the EC1 being slightly larger? Or is that it? Also when are these expected in stock if I were to pre-order?

My Deathadder 2013's M1 is dying would one of these be a good upgrade for FPS?

You got it. EC1 is just bigger then the EC2. I actually prefer EC2 even though I got bigish hands (22cm from base to tip.....sounds wrong :p)
