Afternoon,
Recently cut ties with broadband provider for good as cant be bothered with lengthy contracts, price hikes and a song/dance at the end. Smarty unlimited sim is working well 350/20 speedtest on average. I have a mast (or so i think) not far away and so i decided to get a dirdctional antenna poyting xpol 2 v3 which is 2x2 mimo SMA connectors
Router however has 4x4 TS9 connectors
Few questions i am facing are:
Is using SMA to TS9 Y splitter going to work?
How do i locate a 5g mast in the area to point it towards it or perhaps a utility to monitor/test
Any other tips, tricks, personal experience to take onboard going forward
Thank you

You could try www.cellmapper.net but they aren't always updated with current details, there is 1-2 sites like that.

There are some apps which will try to help you via signal strength but I'm a bit out of the loop on that.

Generally just getting as high up as possible is best, sometimes even trumps line of sight. Signal propagation can be weird - where I live go more than a couple of meters either side of my property and throughput on 4G drops by like 75% and I found there is a spot in my bedroom, around 18 inches wide, where it doubles for no apparent rhyme or reason (possibly a nearby barn roof is manipulating the signal).
