They're at 25% off right now and you're not likely to get better than that. Any really good deals were probably on the Gen 6 machines which are now gone.

I'm seeing 10% off on the Lenovo site for the model I like (82RG00KGUK) bringing the price down to 1755
Recently, the same model with the same 6800h and 3070 sold for 1200 and a few weeks before that @ just under 1100.

I've never had a laptop, this would be my first one.
Does anyone think it's worth purchasing from a seller on ebay?
There's a person selling the same model, brand new & sealed 5 pros for 1299 with no OS. Says warranty till Feb 2024.
Guessing they purchased 10+ in the sale to resell.
Would it matter to Lenovo where it was purchased regarding warranty?
Are you able to upgrade/extend the warranty after you register with Lenovo?

I highly recommend the legion 5 its been the best gaming / business laptop if had over the last 12 years ( currently been running it since the start of 2021) and ive tried dell/HP/Acer Pred the thing has just worked to the point of being boring  apart from running out of storage now and again.

that being said now with constantly working from home im having a real itch to build a desktop:confused:, think i miss the tinkering aspect haha. The legion even runs a 49" monitor fine these are just great.

Personally, I wouldn't buy anything like that from eBay unless it's a known retailer's eBay shop. You've got no come-back if something does go wrong and I don't know what Lenovo's view on the warranty is.

With new laptops due soon, does anyone think it's still worth paying £1699 for a new 5i pro 16" with 12700h, 16gb/1tb and a 3070ti and then upgrading the memory?
Likelyhood of it dropping further in price?
I'm not too concerned with battery life as most of the time it can be plugged in.

I imagine your looking in the same place as I am. Lenovo have now removed the 3070ti option from all their builds so places to purchase are now limited to 1.
Now can't decide wether to bit the bullet at that price or risk waiting and miss out and end up paying more for a 40 series

Hi liamc111,
I looked on the Lenovo site yesterday and for the same config, but just a 3070, no 'ti' they are asking £2451.60.
I've had the same thoughts regarding prices and remaining stock.

My colleague got a fantastic deal over the black friday deals from Lenovo. It wasnt the pro but it still had the higher resolution screen, the i7 with 16gb, 1tb and 3070 for £960.

Sod it. Stuck in a preorder for the 32gb/1tb L7i
Thought about going for 16/512, but the extra £100 for double seemed a much better buy.. Just wish it was being delivered tomorrow :p
OC say they expect more next week. (fingers crossed)

no just wait for the new models, lot more performance for the money when prices stabilize.
