Only the second or third time I’ve watched United this season and they defended in numbers and pretty well but they don’t look fit enough, they don’t look motivated, they don’t play as a team, especially in attack, and they play like a team that don’t have any real game plan.

But other than that...

Oddly, when they were full on defence in the first half and playing off the odd break "things" were not too bad.

When they came out in the second and had a bit of possesion, most of which was just keep ball rather than create anything it's when they fell apart.

May as well as defended like they did in the first half despite being one up.

Anyways, much of a muchness.

The gulf in sides is quite obvious before, during and now after the game.

What do you expect with half the team out injured all season.

Only a fool would have bet on a United win today.

just accept the manager is hopeless. The team are dreadful in every area
I think that's almost certainly the case but the injuries do provide a fig leaf for ten Hag. I just don't see any progress really. He'll say we were unlucky today and Rashford was fouled but we were absolutely taken apart for most of the game , chasing shadows and unable to even get some respite by keeping the ball for a few minutes at a time. We can't string fives apsses together at the best of times never mind against the World Champions. City could only have beaten themselves today against a team like us. We had a moment but it was never going to be enough.

We had most of our team out last weekend against Chelsea yet the replacements fought for each other, never stopped running and knew where to go to cover when there were overlaps or someone was out of position.

United don’t look well managed at all in comparison, in fact they don’t look well managed compared to most teams, they just have a better squad and more quality than other teams.

Regardless of injuries ten hang has had enough to time get an idea of what his game plan is or style of play the fact that it’s still unclear and inconsistent is baffling

Even players coming in from youth or plugging gaps should know how to play in the style he is wanting by now

Are you still banging this drum, just accept the manager is hopeless. The team are dreadful in every area.

What manager is going to get results with a back 4 of Dalot, Varane, Evans and Lindelof at LB with zero strikers.

Ignore the purchase value of certain players because it is complete United panic tax. The team fielded today was a mid table team at best regardless of manager.
