*** The Official Battlefield 5 thread***

feel in the mood for Battlefield, no point joining the latest one now id be too far behind....deffo getting the next one though.
There isn't really a "far behind" in Battlefield - very quick to get weapon attachments. Also 2042 has a lot of new players with it being on sale the last couple of months

Bfv gets anti cheat , only 5 years too late but still.

Had a brief go at lunch, normally servers are plauged with Chinese cheats at that time of day ( among others ) and no sign of them , am sure it wont last long

Just your imagination pal because DICE say the anti-cheat hasn't been "switched on" yet as it's still being tested at their end

Must have got very lucky as was mostly hack free and very few 150 ping players, maybe the suggestion of anti cheat scared then off for a day or two.
Anyway youll be pleased to know , "pal" , that normal service has resumed.

Has it made any difference?
Nah, Chinese speed hackers / aimbots are rife as per usual , if you hit them you get armour hit points etc ( wtf ? ).

It could be they can detect and delayed ban compared to previous ?, but not made a massive difference to tne 5 or 6 hours a week I still play.

There was a brief increase in player count when this anticheat was deployed, seems to have fizzled back down.

So not only do dice need to make a new game that isn't released early (no chance), EA also need to make their anticheat better. Mission impossible.

Battlefield 5 is currently on sale on Steam for just over £3.

There seems to be a lot of complaints here about cheats in the multiplayer, but surely it's worth grabbing at that price even if it's just for the single player story?

For that price it's well worth a punt. Can't comment on the cheater status as I haven't played for ages.
