I doubt it - It's a Superflower 750w golden green which I got as part of the Overclockers Epic gaming bundle.
It's been fine with my 770 and the CPU, even when fully stressed.
It's definitely the card. Shame as the performance is absolutely stellar.
EDIT: Just listened closely, it's definitely the card. It's actually screeching whilst the Witcher 3 main menu is up before you go into the game.

Was looking at the STRIX but its just too damn big for my case! So went with the reference GTX 980ti

I had both, returned the G1 for coil whine myself. MSI Gaming 6G with the Twin Frozr cooler on it is much much more silent. And no, perfomance wise I noticed no difference, they are clocked the same. As for oc'ing? I think the G1 was a better overclocker, at least for me, but returned it nonetheless.

I myself have the EVGA Supernova 1000 P2, and the G1 had the most unreal coil whine I have ever experienced. Its a bummer because it definitely had the perfomance and cooling, but ye just saying. Not sure why PSU would affect such a thing.

So who actually owns a Amp Extreme? I'd like to hear some impressions from people here as opposed to just reviews. Also, some pics would be nice

I was only saying it could be the PSU dont automatically think its the GPU although with Gigabyte after past experiences I wouldnt touch their GPUs as they just cant make them properly. Dont forget if your PSU doesnt deliver clear constant juice it can be a factor.
I had an Antec 750w (which won awards on Bit-Tech and Custom PC) and a Gigabyte 770 and over time I got increasing coil whine. Turned out it was the PSU. Replaced the PSU with a better rated one on Gibbo's approved list for reducing/removing coil whine and that cured it.
Dont just think because you reckon you have a good make its not your PSU. Not saying it is in this instance but the GPU is not the only factor when considering coil whine. Its been well publicised by Gibbo and in this forum in the not too distant past. Thats all I am saying.

The coil whine on the G1 has nothing to do with the PSU, I'm running mine on a 1200w Superflower. It still whines.

Just bought one of these for Arkham Knight @ 4K my GTX 970 cannot handle that too well in places 
I hope its as ultra silent as the reviews suggest otherwise its getting returned.

Zotec amp extreme incoming
The card itself is fantastic, boosts to 1468 MHz out of the box and the large cooler keeps it at around 68 in a thermal take core v21 case.
There is a jump in noise levels when you get above 70 but tbh for the clocks the card is running at its move than acceptable.
Did i mention it looks the nuts

I've just got a quote for sending my G1 back, and it's £28 with Royal Mail. 
I'm now in 2 minds. Can I really be bothered getting further out of pocket when I game with a headset on and this card is a cracking overclocker? The coil whine isn't a screech, its mainly loading screens and benchmarks and the fans are around 60% when it's working flat out so it isn't exactly breaking the silence.
I was more bothered about the resale value. Decisions decisions...

I'm not sure, I think they need to refund the lowest possible cost without next day delivery or insurance.
Given that OCUK gave me next day Saturday delivery for free I dare say I could demand my £0 back!

no why should they the card isn't faulty. The laws changed iirc and now they can charge a restocking fee and that includes sending an item back you have used but is still covered under DSR. The card has to be sold as B grade now and there have been a few members here who have reported when they bought a g1 from ocuk it was used.
