Need to get a new board soon. As I have an AMD cpu I am looking at the new 900 series boards.

Asus or Gigabyte ?

I like the fact that Asus has the newer bios but is that enough to swing it?

Go with what ever board has the best price and feature set for you. Both are well made boards.

The only thing between the two is that Asus don't have such a good RMA service.

Just to add, you might want to checkout MSI and Asrock boards also.

do not go for gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud5/ud7, these have voltage issues at the moment.

Asus Sabertooth 990FX seems fine

Get a Gigabyte UD3 as it is a good board and is quite cheap for the features. If you want something with more features look in to Asrock and MSI. Dont go with Asus as if there is a a problem their RMA service is not the best.

Im in love with Gigabyte boards. So much so, that Im running 6 on my LAN and so far I have never had a single issue.

Asus on the other hand, the one board that I had good use out if was the A8N-SLI but every other one has simply died.

Never liked Asus.
