Ivy bridge overclocking problems.

i have just got a i7 3770k.
using gigabyte sniper 2 motherboard with latest ivy cpu bios.
gone from a 2600k and all i did was adjust the multi to overclock.
but on this cpu can only adjust multi to 39

can any1 shed anylight please.

Are you sure you ordered the 3770K and not just the 3770

This board cost me £289.00 6 weeks ago, and now i cant overclock my i7 3770k. this is bloody unreal.

i didnt buy my board from here but could i send it back as its not fit for purpose.
its a revision 3 pcie3 board.

You could try sending it back as it's worth a shot. But they'll be releasing a bios update at some point to correct this, it's just a matter of how long you'll be waiting.

What Bios are you running as F5 bios should run Ivy bridge.

Yeah im running ivy bridge F5 bios. max multi is 39.

even on turbo there greyed out.

There is a BIOS update coming for these boards to enable the higher ratios, be patient.

Gigabytes support for ivy through their bios has been a complete joke.
P67 and z68 both don't work with any K processors.

That's the last time I will be buying gigafail.

Asrock ASus Msi dint have this problem.

Essential **** poor programming by gigabyte...

Their failure to implement UEfi bios to 6 series mobo has resulted in this colossal screw up.

I guess all they want to do is sell some more z77.

Edit: I wouldn't hold my breath for friday release.
