Narrow width RAM - ddr4

The CPU water block connectors come out in line with the edge of the RAM slot

Just got some GSkill Trident Z - doesn't fit.

Here's a photo with the corsair vengeance LPX which is a super tight fit in the other slot.



If I want 32gb total, what are my best options? inc. performance wise

just contemplating putting the cpu block on upside down.... the cooler master writing will suck..

Just put a normal DIMM in the slot.

I did this, fortunately I was able to make it work..

Usually have problems with large air coolers - this is the first time I've seen issues with water coolers - worth bearing in mind where the water block connectors protrude - thanks for the posts - useful

had to do the same with my h60 on asus z170i pro gaming

The blocks on the cpu containing the pump are much larger than they were and the fashion of having the tubes exit from the side doesn't help.

I still have a working H50 and its footprint is vastly smaller on top of the tubes coming out of the top instead of the side.
