At £170 and with a 176º/176º viewing angle and 2ms response time on this, can anyone tell me why i should pay £409 for the NEC for a gaming monitor? (Ignoring the 1080p vs 1200 argument and missing HDMI connection).

OK, the Acer website lists Viewing angle 160°(H),160°(V) CR=10, AND 176°(H),176°(V) CR= 5 one above the other!! How is this possible?? Luck of the draw depending on panel type

According to google, it's a TN panel. I'm not sure how they can claim that viewing angle.

If you can still see it, then it counts as viewing angle. It can have the colour distorted to hell, but if you can still make it out, it counts.

Still, it is a good price for a budget 24" monitor that doesn't look too bad.
