Set of knives worth £125 for only £1.99?

I value this sandwhich at £459.99, but ill let you have it for £20. Seems like a bargain right?

WRONG! The bread is mouldy and the filling is a mixture of dried macaroni and dead bees.

No they aren't. Definitely not worth the £12 you actually pay.
Really? Strange as though not worth anywhere near the full cost they are doing me fine for a £12 set of knives. Yes not great knives, but perfectly good value for what they are charging. Maybe I was lucky and got an above average set ;)

Or maybe you've never used a good knife before ;)

And how much does a 'good' knife cost in your opinion? I imagine these set of knives in the OP would do many people just perfectly, for less than the price of a single 'good' knife.

A Victorinox Fibrox would be £15-20 and are infinitely better.

Edit: To clarify the Jean Patrique ones are hollow handled, really poorly balanced and people have complained numerous times about them rusting. They're very soft metal as well so they won't hold an edge.

That would be perfect, the 9-10" ones are better if you can find one for the same money.

We use them at work and they're pretty good, very comfortable and hold a decent edge.
