Looks like a standard "Asetek" cooler with some kind of "Fan shroud" on that stock fan.

Performance remains to be seen, no reviews up so far. At least it looks cool.. You know, cool. Temperature cool. "ha ha".

Looks the same as their previous offering (which I have in a box somewhere), but with a different top/logo on the pump & block assembly. Not sure what improvements they've made though.

Be good to see some tests on these AIO's as there's been several new ones recently!

Just hope it works better than their marketing/translators!

I am of the opinion that they are all pretty hopeless. Ive had two Kuhler 620's, one was just about sufficient to keep my i7 930 at 3GHz without getting worryingly hot, and the other was just about enough to keep my 2500K at 4.2GHz in push-pull.

Even my H100 with a pair of Venom Vipers intaking cool air only keeps my 2500K at 75~ at 4.6GHz.

An air cooler that costs 20 or 30 quid less than this Intel AIO will put it to shame.

I'm looking at the H110 or the X60 and can't decide... A good deal is going to be the deciding factor I think as I am leaning towards the X60 for the aesthetics...

looks pretty good ! how does it perform against the likes of H80/100's ?

its the same as a h80 to all intents and purposes.

it is indeed. the difference is that the intel one is an intel one. :)

for this reason alone, it is by far and away the most popular. with it being an OEM solution from the CPU vendor, it has the biggest following

these were targeted as being the OEM cooler for 2011 when it was first released. so they are capable of 2011 temperatures.

He'll still need the £80 cooler...

Even If he sells his core system for just £60, thats £140 which is enough for a used 2500K and a board. A stock 2500K with the stock cooler will destroy almost any socket 775 setup. You would have to have a Q9650 with a fair overclock to get even close.

And if he does have a Q9650 for example, then the core system would sell for a-lot more, meaning he could probably get a 2600K and a board, at which point there is no point even comparing.

I think people underestimate the Q9x50 - though to be fair I was using some exotic RAM that allowed for stupidly high bus speeds. I upgraded my Q9550 @ 4GHz w/ GTX470 SLI to a 3770K and 9 out of 10 games were pretty much same speeds give or take*, no real difference in general desktop stuff - there was the odd thing that was a lot faster but unless I spent a large part of my day working with those apps it just wasn't worth the upgrade. Ended up selling it on.

* Couple of CPU bound games were significantly faster but weren't games I played much.

the arguing is pretty pointless.

775 is a dead socket.
intel do not produce 775 CPUs or Chipsets any longer

so there is no need for them to support it with their CPU cooler either.

a lot of CPU coolers that i am setting up at the moment from third party brands are omitting 775 support.

Do you guys do an Intel 1155 fitting kit separate for one of these?

I've got one of the early revision 1 models currently being used on a Socket 2011 based system but, could do with some 1155 fitments so I can transfer it to another machine.

The fan on this, for me, is like Schrödinger's fan. I hate it and like it at the same time.

I think it look nice, the way the frame slopes into the radiator, but I hate it because it's probably mediocre performance and they probably don't provide screws longer enough for a normal fan.
