Hey guys.
I've been playing on 1080p standard for time now, and wanted to venture into 1440p - thing is im not entirely sure how it works.
So i can get a 1440p monitor but the resolution will be 1920/1080p. But for 1440p the resolution has to go up to 2560/1440?

My rig is fairly decent buying a new 5800X3D processor and a temporary RTX 3080 2nd hand (this will be upgraded at the end of the year)
Monitors im seeing are things like the koouri on amazon, with suggestions to only the the IPS version - but then you see reviews saying its still pants and has "ghosting" could any of you lovely blokes just point me to the monitor i need for £200 or under.
Its for gaming and browsing with occasional live recording of a game im playing.

cheers

I have 1440p monitors on a 5700X and a 6700XT. My monitor is an iiyama IPS with 75Hz refresh rate, so I run vsync most of the time on mostly high settings for nice gaming sessions.

About 6 months ago there were a plethora of 1440p 165hz IPS screens available, but most seem to have jumped to £250 or more.

XUB2793QSU-B6 - 100hz for £180

AOC Gaming Q27G2S - 165hz for about £220

The problem with the G2724D is it now doesn't seem to be available for less than £280 - really annoyed with myself for not getting them when they were available for about £180 on a Dell sale last year.

Acer nitro XV271UM3B - 219 on amazon, had a guy directly tell me he owns that and the ISP koouri - he says its way better than the koouri. It has a 0.5nm response time.

Next up is the AOC Gaming C27G2ZU - its curved might make it easier on my eyes, and im sure its saying it does 240hz, reviews seem decent not many fake bot reviews. Edit scratch that one too its 1080p gah wtf

I'm looking at this as well.

It's going to be used with a ps5 only.

I think it is a little cheaper at £204 from a certain store that requires membership.

Been waiting for this or the dell mentioned above to drop close to £200.
