Hello, just a qucik question if anyone could help. Just in the process of building a new pc and am just figuring out how to power my 4080.

The card comes with a 16pin connector which splits in to 3x8 pin connectors . I have been reading online that 3 seperate 8 pins from the psu is the way to go. However the psu I have brought (Rog Strix 1000w Gold Aura Edition) has a 16 pin 600w pcie cable. Would I be right in thinking I could use this plugged straight in to the GPU instead of the 16 pin to 3x8 pin cable that came with the card?

Hope this makes sense, any help would be appreciated.

Last I heard, some (all?) AIBs will only cover your warranty for the 12/16 pin connector if you use the adapter supplied in the box (3x8).
