AMD Ryzen Bug Confirmed on Windows 11
The issue is a little complicated, but I will try and break it down as simply as I can. – For those of you unaware, AMD Ryzen processors on Windows 10 primarily work by allowing the operating system to pick the two most efficient cores on the CPU (largely the two which can maintain peak speeds for the longest period). These are then given priority status for the vast majority of general workloads.

The problem, however, is partly twofold. Firstly, it would appear that Windows 11 is ignoring the ‘preferred cores’ system meaning that less optimal ones are getting picked. Secondly, though, the L3 cache latency has been found to triple on the new operating system.

Put simply, both AMD and Microsoft have largely agreed that in general use, Ryzen processors are around 3-5% slower on the new operating system whereas the gaming impact could potentially be as high as 10-15%!

So specifically, Intel have a new chip, and for it they need a new scheduler, that strangely, doesn't know how to pick the best cores.
AMD are also about to make massive steps in the world of l3 3d cache, something intel are incapable of doing, and have recently retired their project.
Both these specific AMD advances are for some reason of unspecified origin B0rked in the release version of windows 11.

WHO COULD HAVE GUESSED IT?

Are you implying Microsoft sabotaged amd cpu performance in w11because Intel requested it? Why would they do that when amd is building all Microsoft's consoles

Years ago Intel did a similar thing thing with their compilers, if an AMD CPU was detected it would deliberately switch to a slower code path.

Intel were ordered to inform their customers of this, because if nothing else its not fair on their customers is it? Time is money, so they did, they turned it in to a marketing campaign, "works best on Intel" is what they said about it.
They did something similar with Cinebench R15, or it may have been an earlier version, i can't remember, every time AMD win in CPU-Z it gets an update and suddenly Intel wins.....

That type of thing is just petulant, where they can't win they cheat, and its not just an AMD thing with Intel they do it to everyone they are in competition with, its why i have little respect for Intel, they haven't done anything really ground breaking for a very long time, instead they just try to cheat their way through life, if Intel was a person how can you respect someone like that? You would think them a rather pathetic individual.
