Lost my old old account from 2002 :( it’s been a long time…out of touch since moving to Vancouver 15 Years ago.

I’ve been gifted a Asus ROG Strix X670E-E board need some advice on the components that will create my gaming beast.

I’ve got a 4K screen, keyboard, mouse and the OS

$3k budget

Max out the budget please

$3k budget
in general, you'd be looking at a 7800x3d and a 4090. for the specific parts, you're better off asking in a canadian forum as they'll have better grasp of the prices in canada and which exact components have better value than others

If that's Canadian dollars then those 2 parts take up the whole 3k budget.

£1750

oh damn, didn't realise the parts were so expensive in canada lol
personally, if this was the case, i'd sell that x670e-e as this will massively increase the budget and allow for more flexibility

$3k US dollars I’m sure I can build on this.

Yeah everything is insanely expensive in Vancouver…

Overclockers UK was my first thought when I was gifted the board, as it’s still a family, that Spie built and left a wonderful community RIP brother.

£1750 still a healthy budget for a rig when mobo not needed though...think trick would be 4080s and 7800x3d rather than 4090, air cooler £35, case £80, ram £110,2tb ssd £125, psu £100

something like below...this is shipping to canada incl. (DHL express) and think you're vat is 5% so with import on goods would be £1608.243 plus shipping of £141.99 is £1750.233 or $3001.86 canadian based on exchange rate...could change ram for expo, cooler for peerless or whatever takes fancy etc...more to show what you'd get based here etc..so 4080Super performance

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,673.56 (includes delivery: £141.99)
