So, a friend very kindly gave £25 Steam credits.

So I'm looking at the latest gen Cod or BF

I currently play CS2 and want to expand

BF3 was epic!!

CoD MW2/3 (original) was pretty good also

What's the pick between 2042 and MW3?

Is MW3 as buggy as all the Steam reviews say?
Does 2042 live up to standard of BF3?

Help people!!!

If you want to keep your friend, I wouldn't tell them about either option. The other play is to say you went with 2042 as you watched one of the 8654 videos that jackfrags makes every other day entitled something along the lines of 'dice saved it' and you got shafted.

Can try out both without paying full price, free trial with EA play, Warzone is free to play.

I personally like both, MW3 for close quarters chaos, Battlefield for a mid range, long range experience.

and of course Warzone when I'm in the mood for it can be very addictive.

I'd say Battlefield over COD, but 2042 (although it is very good) is nothing like previous games in the series. If you haven't played since Battlefield 3, I'd strongly recommend picking up Battlefield 1 (WW1) and Battlefield 4 (Modern combat). Both are currently £34.99 but they regularly go on sale

BF1 and 5 full of hackers dont bother with them.
Both good games but i recommend something like Hell let Loose.

I personally think anything after CoD4 (or WaW) and after BF2 was poor :(.
BF1942, Bf1942+ desert Combat, BF Vietbam and BF2, that's where it's at :D.
Cod 1-2 and 4 were great. MW2 more of the same with p2p issues, after that meh.

I have bought BF1 and BF3 but meh. Not being able to learn the vehicles, weapons and maps against dumb bots ruined the series for me.
CoD also lost its charm :(.

I gave Warzone a try but meh, it's just not my cup of tea anymore.
