Personally I'd say story is on par with the rest of them. Probably doesn't mean as much of not played.
Combat is typical ARPG combat, I don't feel any of them feel much different between games.

A noob question but when Season 4 starts, will my current Eternal Necromancer be able to benefit from the changes, or will I have to create a new character?
Will I get the new drops? Will I be able to do the new crafting mechanisms?

Most of the new changes should be included on the Eternal Realm, so no need to create a new character if you don't want to.

The story scales to your level for the most part, so just carry on.

I played, completed and really enjoyed 3 on the PS4, but I just cant get into 4 on the PC via Gamepass - would I maybe enjoy it more moving to a controller?
