EVGA GTX 1070 SC thermal paste replacement

I would like to replace the thermal paste on an EVGA GTX 1070 SC (08G-P4-6173-KR) due to highish temperatures (85 celcius) and age (bought in 2017/2018).

I was wondering what normally needs replacing with this specific card? I assume that EVGA puts paste on the GPU rather than pads. Also wondering about VRMs and whether to replace the pads on them (if they have pads)?

I'd just re-use the thermal pads if I were you. Just want to strip it down, clean up the GPU die with isopropyl alcohol and re-paste.

Just take a note of the thermal pad thickness before you re-assemble in case you are still running into heat issues when you re-assemble but doubt you will be.
