Help - Sharepoint v3 SP1 on Server 2008 - Cannot login

Hi guys,

We've just been playing around putting Sharepoint 3 on our Server 2008 x64 server. All went well, and when you open sharepoint on the actual server, it goes in to the page without prompt etc.

However, if you either want to login as another domain user, or use another machine to browse to it, it will not authenticate the user.

Any ideas?

Is it Auth'ing through AD?

You putting domain\username in the username box?

Yep through AD, yes with domain\username.

We have the same running without a problem on our 2003 R2 server.

Seems to be a recuring problem. The integrated windows authentication works, as such that the system automatically and successfully logs in the logged on user. The same is happening for our Exchange 2007 install on the same box. However, if you log out and try a different user, no joy at all!
