I've had this same conversation at work before and I've no doubt they get paid very well for what they do. But same thing here as the chat before, some guys slagging them for not looking good.

My ex once applied for a position working one of those channels. Not babestation, I think it was something like a Daily Sports station? It was ages back, And I split with her pretty quickly, She was way too chavy haha. But thats what picking up girls in nightclubs gets you.

Some of them get paid a LOT, some not a lot. It depends how "far" they are willing to go with porn (not on telly, but on websites and dvds etc.)
E.g. If they are a 'famous' pornstar, they can get upwards of £2k a night. If they are just a regular jiggler they get less than £1k per week.
It also greatly depends on how many calls the girls individually attract. They don't get commission, but girls who bring in more callers are paid more. Channels are always trying to poach the girls from other channels that have high ratings etc. etc.

I honestly did'nt know those channels existed until I heard my youngest get up and put the tele on at about 4am one night/morning. As I walked in he said, "look dad ......... ****!"
Since then, like a lot of blokes, I've sneaked the odd "glimpse", and was quite surprised to recognise more than a few porn stars amongst them. Suspect that they use the tele exposure to further their internet careers.
One sunday afternoon I was with my oldest son watching footy at his when he put the girls on at halftime. We got into a disagreement about a girls name so it was off to the internet to check. I found a forum for those sky channels, quite a busy one too that was packed with thousands of posts from hundreds of blokes who must spend every waking (I SAID WAKING!) hour watching and recording those shows, burning them to disc etc and worst of all boasting about how many times they had spoken to the girls. I was quite amazed as its not even real porn, even at night. Too sad for words some.
