iFi-iPower & Zen Dac

Hi , I recently bought the Zen Dac2 and the ipower adapter to connect to the wall socket. It comes with some pin adapters . Which one is needed for this? . Any help appreciated.

It's the 5v barrel plug you'll want - just see what size fits in the back of the Zen Dac.

I've got the Zen Dac V2 and TBH I can't tell the difference between just running off USB power or a 5v power supply (not the ipower, but a £9 5v 2a PSU).

The ipower is ridiculously priced for what it is.

FWIW Ive never needed the power adapter for my DAC v2, only even been USB powered.

Same here only ever used it via USB as its connected to my PC woudlnt say the adapter was anything in particular as I got one with my zen can as well

yep same for me i have been told it sounds better with power going to it but it sounds great with just the usb connected to my ears

The original Zen DAC sounds better with the power supply, not a massive change. I doubt it does much for the v2.
Better off saving the cash towards a Zen can or something better.
