Is it finally time to upgrade from 16GB?

I've been running 16GB for at least 10 years now, and wondering if it's getting to the point I should bump up to 32GB.

Been running OpenHardwareMonitor for the last couple of nights whilst gaming, and been sat at ~93% usage in HZD, which seems a bit too close for comfort, should probably check some other games as well - any particular symptoms I should be looking out for, or tests I can do to see if I'm hitting the limit?

If so, recommendations to go with a 5800X3D on a B550 Tomahawk?

Bonus points if they are white :p

I've been breaking past the 16gb mark regularly for awhile now, it's definitely a good time to make the jump to 32gb given how inexpensive RAM is currently.

I have a similar thought to the OP
I am running 16 gig of 3600 8pac @16-16-16-54,i have 32 gig gskill 3600 but with worse timings of around 19 (never been able to get the timings down in the past)
Would these higher timings on the gskill be worse to use instead of sticking with my 8pac?
i.e. is it worth swapping over to the 32 gig of ram,ram usage in `most` games i play is around 12 gig :)

Depends what CPU you have - if like the OP you have a 5800X3D then slower timings/speed make less difference as the increased Cache masks a lot of memory access speed.

Started hitting 100% a few times now while playing CP2077, so I've dropped a few hints* to the other half for Christmas ;)

* by hints I mean product links since she is utterly clueless when it comes to PC parts and I'd probably end up with a 3.5" mechanical HDD instead
