I really wish I knew how people got free upgrades. My wife's colleague just got a her 2nd upgrade to business within a couple years. My face is ripe for charity muggers on high streets (they'll see me a mile off) but still awaiting the mystical upgrades.

New York next week though :D.

Only really happens if the cabin is completely over sold and someone whose a frequent flyer and has plenty points is wanting to travel/has booked.

The whole thing of rocking up in a suit and expecting to get bumped off is just nonsense. Not going to happen.

You been ID yet :D :D

Crossing my finger and toes.

Just putting together my plan for the days I have to myself, found a cheap coach from NY to DC that gets you in for 5am which means I can catch the sunrise and have few people buzzing around to do some photography of the monuments :D. A return coach ticket for £40-45 doesn't seem too bad, especially as I left it late and train prices are a fair bit more).

Also prepping the lube for the general pricing as others have hinted at :(.

Oh ****, good luck with whatever is left. Did you get it from Grand Central or Penn station? And how much were the tickets if you don't mind me asking?

Edit - coach booked, the temptation to get there before sunrise is too much. Also going to the Aerospace museum. Now looking at observatory prices - might be getting me a city pass judging these prices.

There are also trains all night.
We are staying in exchange place Jersey so took the path to Newark Penn, stop after NY.
It was packed, fully booked..... It didn't even cross my mind ....

We gonna have a out 8h now in Washington.
Gonna try see changing of the guard Arlington cemetery, a view of pentagon, then hot the mall and walk/bus as much as we can to get pictures.. it's a shame didn't think this out better could over overnighted here.

Ny is nice but I'm not feeling it. It's so ..... Something :p

So many typos bouncy train

We got till midday Monday and have ticked about half of the Todo boxes... So far

Way too optimistic on what can be achieved in a day :p and partly bad weather.

Another Broadway show at 7pm .....
Went up empire state in the cloud which was cool.
Walked for miles....
I'm about peak NYC now... Had enough.
Subway is a nightmare confusing, ******** makes me appreciate the London setup.

The subway is easy as, theres only a couple of stations that you must enter on the correct side of the street and yeh, you need comfortable trainers for going to NYC.

Having a great time in NJ including some great places to eat (Chickie's and Dullboy), ventured into NYC yesterday. A few highlights....

Had the pleasure of trying Smith & Wollensky last night - great steak.
