I swear this thread was like 14 pages long or maybe that is the console section :/

That thread got replaced by this one, so that it could have a proper and update-able opening post. Most of the posts in the original thread were arguing about the quality of the graphics and whether or not it was a port. That thread can be found here.

I hope we can move on from that in this thread. At least to some extent. I know some of you may not be happy with the quality of the graphics in the trailer, but these are early days. I encourage you to at least watch the uncompressed trailer.

Looks awesome! can't wait. Is there an release date yet?

Currently there isn't a release date. Hopefully we will find out what the release date is on the 14th. :)

Fallout 3 for me. Hundreds of hours gone, every location and rare collectable discovered and collected, including items that were meant to be removed. And all of that was on the dreaded Xbox 360!

Then I played it some more on PC. :p

"Don't go into the basement" was one of my favourite parts of Fallout 3.

I liked the shed in the town where they were eating passers by. When I came out to the townspeople surrounding me that did make me jump! :p

You do know she's the only survivor, right?

Also this is true, she turns into a ghoul. You killed loads of innocent people and the person who you really wanted to kill was the only one who survived. ;)

Time to move the discussion along I think? :)

What are you hoping has been added/removed/improved compared to Fallout 3/NV?

Not including graphical quality.

I think some rare enemies wouldn't go amiss, perhaps a type of enemy which travels on the ceiling... An overhaul or removal of VATS, and better custom weapon creation (or scrap it)

You can't get rid of over exaggerated rag-doll! That is something which gives Fallout character! :p

Get whacked by a deathclaw and rag-doll over a small town, or get shot to death with bullets and be thrust backwards violently like you got shot with a cannon!

Shooting through windows!!

That would probably just end up making the game a bit inconsistent, as most buildings will contain a new area and require a transition, so you would only be able to shoot through the windows of smaller buildings/ruins. And most of the windows in those places are blown out anyway.

It would take an awful lot of adaptations to make it work properly as a co-op title I imagine. In Borderlands by comparison, you have smaller areas which all players are forced into once one player initiates the transition, and you also have game dynamics which don't activate until all players are present. With Fallout the entire wasteland will be open, so you could very well end up miles and miles away from your co-op partner. You could also have a situation where one player misses out on some game-play because your co-op partner stumbled across something on their way to you and inadvertently completed a mission...

Games like Borderlands are semi-path driven, semi free roam, with forced transitions for all players. So it works a-lot better than it would for Elder Scrolls/Fallout.

Personally I don't really want co-op.

Ohhhhh... Well I guess I'll have to update the OP after work Monday then! :(

If someone wants to compile some links and things so that I can do it quickly as soon as I get in, that would be brilliant, but otherwise I'm happy to quickly scurry around and find things out. :p

The OP will be updated later folks, I'm not going to attempt to do it on my phone with flaky internet. :p

In the mean time I've just pasted the E3 video links

As it is I haven't seen the videos yet... :(

Well now I was mostly impressed by that! Not 100% on the new way dialogue works though.

I'm also confused by the fact that he was out cold for 200 years and is suddenly in a vault jumpsuit... :p
