The control panel of the graphics card can turn off tessellation even though the benchmark says it's on, taking a screenshot of the score with the stones in it, shows that this is on and working correctly.

They can still use AMD opptimised over-rides or use the slider to reduce the target level slightly below the application set level to artifically increase the framerate without it being glaringly obvious unless you compare it in motion or images with wireframes on - hence why I've not bothered posting results in this thread as I'm not 100% confident some people aren't doing it.

Spose, but you could say the same for just about every other benchmark.

Yeah to an extent - comparing a range with the same clockspeed/similiar setup can show those results abnormally out tho.

Ok people, I'm getting a bit worried here. I fear something is wrong with my system.

I've been with a GTX 570 since a year or so and, although I could play without major problems, it was always a bit disappointing at max settings.
To that end, I bought GTX 680, which just arrived.

I decided then to run some benchmarks with the old GPU and, later, with the new. But it seems that my GTX 570 scores are far lower than what they should be. Check them, please:

I'll add that I just ran 3DMark Vantage (Advanced Edition) and got some encouraging score:

Overall: P22325
GPU Score: 22613
CPU Score: 21504

3DMark online page says that my configuration scores better than comparable systems in all three categories. So, what's up with Unigine?

Yeah excellent score Chris. Within touching distance of my 680. I feel my CPU is hurting my benching a little although I'm not all that interested in benching to be fair.

Give me good game performance and I'm happy :)

Great score. Which 7950 have you got?

Sapphire 7950 OC 3GB.

I'm running a Silverstone FT02B, so I think the combination of a good case along with the dual fan cooler design of the card allows me some pretty decent overclocks.

I'm not overly fussed with benchmarks either, the card performs great in BF3 and in SWTOR. I had to mess about with some stuff though, it was scoring 1200 or so this morning at stock ish speeds.

Scores update!

Avathar77, Confused, eyetrip - Please could you link me to original full size screenshots?

blackadderV, 555BUK, Alexious, Eluder, Blackwhite, Alz_D - Please read the rules on page 1 of the thread and resubmit your results :( - a shame too as we don't have many 78xx cards atm

Locky, 8 Pack, Chris, shadow_boxer, MilanoChris, FMTopfan - scores updated

amigafan2003 - Let me know how you get on with the EK block :) - considering my first W/C loop now I have my 5850 xfire setup, temperatures have climbed simply after adding the second card :(

Tessellation - I'm guessing this should be set to "Use application settings" right?
