Persistent Voicemail

Got myself a new Moto phone, is on Android 13 i believe. Every time i switch it on it tells me i have voicemail; every time i check, it says i have nothing saved and nothing new - how do i get it to clear this? i'm on an O2 PAYG SIM, in case that makes any difference.

I had this issue once, the thing that fixed it for me was turning the phone off, leaving a voicemail on it, turning it back on then deleting the voicemail you just left

Long-running issue.

How to fix:

Call your number from a different phone and leave a voicemail of several seconds in length
Wait for the voicemail to appear on your phone
Call the voicemail and listen to the message, do not delete it
Hang up
Call the voicemail again and listen to the message, this time delete it
Hang up

The notification will disappear.
