Im so fail for ordering a multiport rad with no stop caps.

So a little update - Just getting the cpu to gpu and gpu to bott rad hosing done then im going to mount the pump/res in the back and do the rads and cpu in.

So I tried this 45 degree fitting first but it didnt give the nicest fit when it came to the hose.

Ended up going with a 90degree fitting instead.

One thing I noticed though was that the D5 EK res combo mounted upwards means to get at the speed switch will be very difficult and involve taking it out of the case >_> because the cpu is in the way pfft.

are you only having 2 sticks of RAM? if you are make sure to use the colour coded slots in order to benefit from the dual channel speeds :)

I assume you mean move one of my ram sticks over? the ram is running at full speed in bios.

Oh small update -

Allnamestaken finding ghetto solutions to bad mounting situations xD.

The res is huge lol so to high cant access fill port to low cant access speed dial and it hangs off the edge due to its weight so made a zip tie brace :p.

Thanks bud :)

So guys, Ive got 2 Femaile Quick disconects and 1 Male Quick disconect in my basekt so I can make a drain line.

I assume I connect the male and female disconects together at the lowest point in my loop and that will let the loop continue flowing like normal.

When I want to break the loop I disconect the male from the female? and then connect the opposite to which ever side im draining from to allow it to flow again?

If im correct in this then I obviously need 3 QDC's im just not sure so I ask you guys! These things are expensive!

Looking really nice.

I have to ask what the hell's up with a rad that doesn't come with g1/4 caps for the unused ports? Poor show there...
Then again, I've got a couple of AX360's and they only come with the bare minimum of screws, so I shouldn't be too surprised at XSPC

Btw, you don't need to be too concerned about having constant access to the speed dial on the D5. Just set it at 2-4 and be done :)

I know right!!! I didnt get that either O_o waiting for all the new stuff to arrive monday and I can get finishing the build.

Update -

Here is where I am at right now bar problems from the motherboard not detecting the GPU.... so in the process of flashing the mobo bios.... I only have one rad in due to the first rad not having any stop caps trolololol....

Looks rather nice I think.

After a weekend of shenanigans trying to get the 290x to display and all avenues traveled I and many members of the forum have concluded that the 290x was DOA -_-.

OCUK have setup an RMA for me and they said once the card is received I will get a full refund.

I have already purchased the new card O_o (Gigabyte 780TI Windforce (withoutblocks) once I receive the refund I shall purchase a full block)

I should get the card tommorow :)

Uff I feel so tired and exhausted.

Oh Max temps of 40'c at 4Ghz full load hehe - that's with my fans at low and pump low too :D.

Love the rad flushing. :)

+1. It is a novel idea. Surely you used distilled water afterwards? Isn't that the normal process?

That is not as bad as some. Kudos.

Gutted on the 290X. I guess that is a potential problem of buying with the block already attached. Surely OCUK should have tested the 290X before they added the block? Maybe they should introduce that to their QA process otherwise it means huge inconvenience for customers.

Good luck

Indeed I did use Distilled for a couple of flushes afterwords :).

I am gutted about the 290x also but now Ive purchased the 780Ti everything is much better (looks to the future).

Got to get this 290x to the post office today so it arrives tomorrow I want that refund lol. Also as far as I am aware they do test the cards but it seems somewhere along the line with mine the card was duffed :(.
