I can agree in principle with what you're saying, but at the same time I came away with a £3k plus build for less than half of that and have used it daily for a good 5 years before it leaked, I think it was a bargain honestly.
5 years and no maintenance  Best get your rubbing gloves out as theres gonna be lots of scrubbing needed. Hopefully blocks aren't too far gone.

to be fair to the OP
He's grasped very quickly what we suggested
And seems to understand it

No experience with uv coolant
But literally just packaging up a 2080ti
Used red coolant for couple years maybe
Couldn't see it as wasn't vertically mounted
But yeah those microfins in the block
Have collected a load of the red in them
And wasn't a pastel coolant
But it also didn't seem to really negatively affect the
Gpu temperature much if at all
So yeah the block probably needs cleaning
But hopefully will just be cosmetic
And no actual structural/physical damage

It all depends on where its kept, coolants used, metals etc. I've left a one my loops in the past for about 2 years and when I opened up for cleaning it was spotless. If your case is in sunlight, you have mixed metals or bad coolant or no additives then you going to have a bad time.

I hope this isn't the case for the OP as that sort of thing can really put you off watercooling.

Thanks for all the comments I appreciate all the advice...
We almost got it right, order arrived this morning and it turns out I'm short of 2 surface port adapters..

Its been a good thread and helped me understand but it can never come close to walking into the shop and coming away with exactly what you need as I'm sure if that were the case I'd be up and running days ago, as is ill be lucky to get another order here by Tuesday.
(Last bit is in hoping some employees read the thread and the shop opens to customers again soon.)
