Fresh Updated Windows 10 on both machines.
GeForce Experience installed to install GPU driver.
Rockstar Launcher installed to run game.
Nothing else installed.

Can't find any reference to it in the event viewer. Spec as in the signature.

Can you reinstall the Nvidia GPU driver? or roll back to an earlier driver? Cant think what else it could be...

EDIT, although the CPU in your sig doesn't meet the minimum requirement for the game either, so there's that!

Yeah, I realised it was just passing the requirements. So the CPU is the weakest link?

Unfortunatley it's not just a weak link, its below the minimum requirement:

  • CPU SPEED: Info
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • VIDEO CARD: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 2GB / AMD Radeon R9 280
  • DEDICATED VIDEO RAM: 2048 MB
  • PIXEL SHADER: 5.0
  • VERTEX SHADER: 5.0
  • OS: Windows 7 SP1
  • FREE DISK SPACE: 150 GB

Replaying this now on PC with everything cranked to Ultra where my first playthrough was on Xbox One when the game was released, forgot how amazing the game really is, not many games can match the attention to details that you can see in RDR2.

Same I bought originally on Xbox but stopped playing as I was hoping for 4K 60Hz patch. Never happened so now I'm playing on pc maxed and it looks great. It's one though I keep playing on and off.

Agree. Everything max 4K on an OLED was an incredible gaming experience that's honestly very very difficult to ever top. From the forests to the towns to the top of mountains, just stunning.

Completed 50% of the main storyline and I've found it to be a bit of a disappointment. The long journey times between missions, long cutscenes, shoddy gunfight controls. I'll plough on and complete it but doubt I'll ever touch it again.

Upgraded my PC to play it aswell.

I too found it a bit boring... hard to see what all the fuss is about.

Get Assasins creed valhalla installed, and rejoice!

Both Ass Creed and RDR2 were meh, Ass Creed is just tedious, long overdue retirement but they keep beating that dead horse it seems. RDR2 is fun for a bit whilst you figure out all the little details, but then you see how far you have to travel and how long it takes and how bare most of the land is and just think "give me a break" lol.

Pretty sure I’m around 50% into it also, got very bored of it. Stunning game in many respects, but I do struggle to see what all the hype is about. It’s something I’ll no doubt go back to one day.
